First Local Producer of API Precursors
AZ Group has established the first production facility in Albania dedicated to the production of precursors for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Through our specialized pharmaceutical division and utilizing INCA’s expertise in processing animal by-products, we have implemented sophisticated bio-extraction techniques that transform selected natural materials into high-value pharmaceutical components.
The first product produced from this process is crude heparin, a pharmaceutical ingredient widely used as an anticoagulant in modern medicine. Based on standardized bio-extraction methods, we manage to ensure consistent quality and high content of the active substance, paving the way for further processing towards Heparin API and its derivatives.
This innovative approach represents the culmination of our circular economy model, where animal by-products are transformed into high-value medical products.
