From Single Product to Circular Economy Pioneer

AZ Group’s journey began in 2008 with the establishment of I.N.C.A. sh.p.k. the first producer of natural casings in Albania for the meat and sausage industry. Guided by the principles of the circular economy, we expanded our vision in 2018 with the creation of PetEat, for the production of premium pet food. This expansion was joined by AZ Rendering, specializing in agricultural, livestock inputs, as well as components for bioenergy. Our most recent investment in 2023 in the extraction of natural pharmaceutical ingredients, completed our integrated value chain.

Every step on this journey has been guided by a fundamental principle: maximizing value through the elimination of waste. Today, we operate with zero technological waste and a negative carbon footprint, setting new standards for a sustainable future in the Western Balkans and wider European markets.

Our expertise extends from the artisanal processing of natural casings, exported to over 12 European countries, to the production of natural pharmaceutical extracts and components for renewable energy with advanced technology. All these activities are united under a common vision: building a more sustainable future. Thanks to the combination of these processes in an integrated structure, AZ Group is the only zero-waste complex in the Western Balkans, where every element is reintroduced into the processing system to extract maximum value.
